1. Who is responsible for your data
Kliio is the data controller for personal data processed through the Service. You can reach us at support@kliio.net.
2. What we collect
Account data: your email address and authentication details. Content you provide: the video footage you upload or connect, the prompts you write, and the videos we generate for you. Usage data: how you use the Service, such as renders created and revisions requested, used to operate plan limits. Payment data: processed by our Merchant of Record (see below); we receive subscription status, not your full card details. Connected accounts: if you connect Google Drive, we store the access tokens needed to read your footage, plus metadata about the files we index.
3. How we use it
We use your data to provide and operate the Service — storing and processing your footage, generating and revising videos, enforcing plan limits, processing payments, providing support, and keeping the Service secure. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your private footage to train models for other customers.
4. Service providers we share data with
We use trusted third parties (“sub-processors”) to run the Service. Each processes only what is needed for its function:Payments — Polar Software Inc., our Merchant of Record and the seller of record for your subscriptionCloud infrastructure — database, authentication, file storage, hosting, and deliveryVideo processing — serverless compute that renders and analyzes your footageAI providers — speech-to-text transcription and AI analysis of your footageWe can name the specific provider in each category on request.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers operate in the United States and other countries. Where your data is transferred internationally, we rely on the providers’ safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect it.
6. Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete content or close your account, we delete or anonymize the associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing (for example under the GDPR or CCPA). To exercise any of these rights, email support@kliio.net.
8. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
9. Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit, and row-level isolation so that each workspace can only access its own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
10. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
